What’s New in Audioscan’s 2025.1 Update

We at e3 Diagnostics are pleased to announce the Audioscan 2025.1 software release. This complimentary update for the Verifit2 and Axiom introduces new features and enhancements that boost accuracy, simplify workflows, and make patient verification more engaging. This free update software can be downloaded automatically via the Audioscan Noah Module or manually from the Audioscan website.

ProbeGUIDE+: Improved Probe Tube Placement

ProbeGUIDE+ builds on the original ProbeGUIDE’s success by offering enhanced features for clinicians treating patients of all ages. With an advanced algorithm, ProbeGUIDE+ now enables precise probe tube placement for children ages 1 to 18. Clinicians can easily switch between Adult and Child modes to use the appropriate depth prediction model for each patient.

To keep young patients calm and engaged during the procedure, clinicians can activate a real-time animated dinosaur distractor that follows the movement of the probe tube.

Auto-Stop and Real-Time Feedback

ProbeGUIDE+ continues to offer auto-stop at 5 mm and real-time visual indicators to help guide precise placement. As always, cross-check with otoscopy and probe tube markers for accuracy.

New Calibrated Speech Map Passages

The 2025.1 update adds new speech passages calibrated to match the ISTS spectrum, giving clinicians more flexibility while preserving measurement accuracy.

New additions include:

Pediatric-friendly speech
Updated English male speech passage
French Canadian speech
French speech
Arabic speech

These passages can be added or removed in Setup under the Speech Map tab.

Enhanced Sensory Loss Simulator Stimuli

To support counseling and family education, all calibrated speech passages are now available as stimuli in the Sensory Loss Simulator. This allows family members to better understand how hearing loss affects communication, increasing empathy, and supporting treatment compliance.

New Instructional Content

Audioscan 2025.1 also introduces updated guidance to help clinicians interpret and verify results more easily:

Hearing protection verification methods
